Ciledug, FISIP UBL - Rabu 25 Juni 2014, pukul 09.00 WIB, Program Studi Kriminologi Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik, Universitas Budi Luhur (UBL) menyelenggarakan Seminar dengan tema cyber crime berjudul "The Age of Cyberbullying and Cyberharassment".Seminar yang berlangsung di Ruang Perpustakaan UBL ini dihadiri oleh kurang lebih 127 peserta yang berasal dari kalangan siswa SMABullying atau perundungan adalah salah satu hal yang marak terjadi akhir-akhir ini. Maka dari itu, dengan isu yang sangat besar seperti ini, rasanya cocok untuk dijadikan sebagai topik atau tema pidato. Akan tetapi, bagaimana cara untuk membuat pidato mengenai menghentikan bullying dalam bahasa Inggris? Berikut ini adalah contoh pidato stop bullying dalam bahasa Inggris yang mungkin dapat membantu Anda. English Ladies and gentlemen, my name is Sarah McConnell. I am here today because I have been invited to give a little speech with the theme of bullying. I am very honored to be able to stand right after you and talk about this very important issue. I have high hopes that our generation in the future will be better than us in taking care of this kind of issue. Bullying has become such a rooted aspect of teenagers life. Right from the start of elementary school, children has been exposed to the uncontrolled factor of social life with their peers. Some could be good, some could be bad, but children in a bullying free environment usually tends to help others. Meanwhile children in a heavily pressured environment with a lot of bullying cases would tends to act more violently and reactive towards other people. However, we cannot ignore the fact that they are still children and that they need guidance. Perhaps, the reason why bullying is so rampant these days is because of the parents. Maybe the parents did not pay enough attention to their children. Maybe they let their children running wild without teaching them how to treat others, how to respect others. But of course bad parents or good parents with bad parenting skill would not ever mention that or admit to it in real life. That is why, we have to fish for their understanding. We have to teach the parents first to be able to teach the children. This is not a single case situation, so we all know that perhaps it is not the child who is in trouble, but that bullying was the result of a certain cultural phenomenon caused by the system. The only thing left that we could do is raise awareness everyday about how important it is to respect each other, to treat each other with love instead of hate. Children need to understand and need to see more love in this world so that they could copy it and share it with the world. That, I think, would be the ideal way to stop bullying and to spread love in this world. Thank you so much for your time. I hope that the world would become a better place each day. Saya memiliki harapan yang tinggi bahwa generasi kita di masa depan akan lebih baik daripada kita dalam mengurus masalah semacam ini. Bullying telah menjadi aspek mengakar dalam kehidupan anak remaja. Mulai dari awal sekolah dasar, anak-anak telah terkena oleh faktor yang tidak dapat dikendalikan dalam kehidupan sosial bersama kawan-kawannya. Beberapa bisa jadi baik, beberapa bisa jadi buruk, namun anak-anak yang berada dalam lingkungan bebas bullying biasanya cenderung menolong orang lain. Sementara anak-anak dalam lingkungan yang sangat tertekan dengan banyak kasus bullying akan cenderung bertindak lebih kasar dan reaktif terhadap orang lain. Akan tetapi, kita tidak dapat melupakan fakta bahwa mereka masih anak-anak dan bahwa mereka membutuhkan bimbingan. Mungkin, alasan mengapa bullying begitu marak terjadi akhir-akhir ini adalah karena orang tuanya. Mungkin para orang tua kurang memerhatikan anak-anaknya. Mungkin mereka membiarkan anak-anaknya berkeliaran bebas tanpa mengajarkan mereka cara untuk memperlakukan orang lain, cara untuk menghormati orang lain. Namun tentu saja orang tua yang buruk atau orang tua yang baik dengan keahlian mendidik yang buruk tidak akan pernah menyatakan atau mengakuinya di dunia nyata. Itulah mengapa, kita harus memancing pengertian mereka. Kita harus mengajarkan para orang tua terlebih dahulu untuk bisa mengajarkan anak-anaknya. Ini bukanlah situasi dengan kasus tunggal, maka kita semua tahu bahwa mungkin bukan anaknya lah yang bermasalah, namun bahwa bullying adalah hasil dari fenomena budaya tertentu yang disebabkan oleh sistem. Satu-satunya hal yang tersisa yang bisa kita lakukan adalah meningkatkan kesadaran setiap hari mengenai betapa pentingnya untuk menghormati satu sama lain, untuk memperlakukan satu sama lain dengan kasih sayang bukan dengan kebencian. Anak-anak harus mengerti dan harus melihat lebih banyak kasih sayang di dunia ini agar mereka dapat melakukannya juga dan membagikannya dengan dunia. Itu, menurut saya, akan menjadi cara yang ideal untuk menghentikan bullying dan membagikan kasih sayang di dunia ini. Terima kasih banyak atas waktu Anda.
